Emerald heirloom rings

This mother and daughter wanted to transform treasured family heirlooms into contemporary items that could be worn everyday rather than sat in a jewellery box. For one ring we used a mixture of grandparents gold rings melted together and used to make daughter’s ring with a new 1.96 carat bright green emerald mounted in a contemporary piece. For the other we used the .70 carat emerald from grandmother’s ring set in platinum to match her current wedding ring. Now mother and daughter have a gorgeous emerald ring they can wear daily to treasure and remind them of a very special loved one.
